WHAt is Limerence?
Limerence * is a branching narrative game set within a fictional phone that explores the concept of love.
What is it, where does it come from, and most importantly, can you experience it with an AI?
You play Claire, a woman in her 30s dissatisfied with her life, marriage, and career. After devastating news, she creates her own “AI” boyfriend with our fictional app, LiAIson.
Enter Kai; he is everything she ever wanted or needed. But can the fantasy compete with reality?

Gameplay
Our gameplay systems revolve around exploring a fictional phone. We give the player access to various apps within Claire’s phone where they can uncover her backstory and social life and interact in “real-time” with friends and family.
Throughout the experience, the player will have multiple selection drop-down options. From selecting dialogue replies, to choosing photographs to send and reacting to social media posts.
As this is a simulated experience and does not use any real AI technology, the player cannot type responses.
As in life, exposition will be given at the behest of the characters and their personal situations. This means Claire may go into some situations blind if the player has not kept up with friends via messages or social media.

Phones are gateways into people's minds, histories, and behaviours. With Limerence, our goal is to create a believable life and history for Claire - as well as her friends and family.
We have secured and are in talks with various modelling agencies, models, actors, artists, musicians, and medical professionals to provide content for camera rolls, social media, websites, music apps and other material. We don't want our content to be photorealistic; we want it to be real.
